There’s something incredibly touching about Lynda Barry’s comics, like when you read all the words and look at the pictures there’s something more that appears in your mind, like a chemical reaction. There’s something really special in them, I can’t say this the right way or capture it. It can’t be captured by definition, it’s magic.
They way Marlys is so snotty and also vulnerable. The dialogue and intonation denoted by underlining words.
I’m about to graduate from art school for comics and I know at least one dude (and suspect many others) who has never read a Lynda Barry comic.

I’ve scripted a few more, maybe I’ll make more comics. There’s an 8x8 print/comic coming soon, and I’m really excited for you guys to see it.

Sourpatch, Stagger and Fade LP
Made this album cover for a nice bunch of indie kids from San Jose. Uncanny how they remind me of every house party we played up and down the west coast circa ‘91-‘99 but they have great songs and I love that guitar sound.
Fun to make things out of paper again, my first love.
